Within Company's Global Corporate Banking platform, the primary function of the Associate is to provide support to the Senior Bankers with client management, transaction execution (including lending and advisory) and portfolio management.This position includes client contact, as well as interaction with senior Company management in the US and Globally. The incumbent will also to take part in other strategic business activities including industry sector analysis, market analysis, internal reporting and budget initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish direct dialogue with junior team members on client teams and maintain consistent interaction and dialog. Attend client meetings when needed.
  • Perform client research directed at uncovering opportunities to market bank products, strategic formulation of industry views/ideas, industry peer/comp research, trends and transformational events.
  • Support product partners and monitor entire execution process for transactions ensuring timely execution and meeting client expectations.
  • Portfolio management and maintenance of credit files
  • Support Senior Banker in follow-up on identified cross sale opportunities with clients, including leading coordination of Company Product and Global Network.
  • Serve as Senior Bankers back-up contact for client needs.
  • Support Senior Banker in follow-up on identified cross sale opportunities with clients, including leading coordination of Company Product and Global Network.
  • Lead client presentation preparation, including all background research and analysis, drafting and production of any client marketing materials, pitch books, etc.
  • Lead coordination of risk presentations, including transactions and Pre-classification presentations, including serving as main point of contact with Risk Department.
  • Directly involved on processing KYC procedures
  • Undertake pipeline monitoring and reporting.
  • Monthly / daily bases support of all business development activities including reporting on monthly P&L metrics, budget monitoring and performance, gap analysis, exposure monitoring, profitability analysis, etc.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • Bachelors in Finance, Economics or related field; MBA preferred
  • Ability to operate in a fluid, dynamic environment and embrace change
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with Company network
  • Fluency in English and Spanish/Portuguese is a plus, but not required
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial skills
  • Demonstration of poise, composure and confidence in front of clients and Bank senior management
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and banking products
  • Solid financial modeling skills
  • Credit skills
  • Team player attitude
