Seeking a Sales Tax Manager in Bedford, MA with competitive salary and benefits! This is a full time permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine proper taxability of customers on an account and transaction basis including verifying and approving all exemption certificates
  • Provide sales tax support for all locations including training on correct procedures and certificates
  • Monitor daily sales with tax overrides to ensure correctness and that proper documentation is on file
  • Approve tax only credit requests generated by the locations and credit specialists for short pays on invoices due to sales taxes
  • Maintain files of all correspondence to customers related to sales tax
  • Maintain exemption certificates in exemption certificate maintenance software
  • Communicate effectively with customers concerning exemption certificates including corrections for incomplete certificates or requesting missing certificates
  • Assist in state tax audits including providing proper exemption certificates and sales tax return documentation
  • Provide vendors with properly executed resale certificates
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns and remit sales tax payments for eight states

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Values and demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work alone and follow directions with little direct supervision
  • Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of sales tax preferred
  • College degree preferred
