Our office of Home Instead Senior Care, serving families throughout Northeastern, CT, has an opening for the position of Recruitment Coordinator. The Recruitment Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties for the recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding and ongoing management of CAREGivers SM . The Recruitment Coordinator works together with the Engagement Coordinator to hire, support and retain a staff of CAREGivers to provide the highest quality service to clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement active and passive recruitment strategies (e.g., web-based job search engines, social media, outreach, networking)
  • Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner
  • Ensure the completion of all Home Instead Senior Care Standards with regard to the hiring process (e.g., reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks and drug screens)
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver orientation and work with Training Coordinator to schedule all training required to meet Home Instead ® Standards and additional optional training
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver annual reviews and all supervision including regular performance conversations, accountabilities and problem resolution
  • Work in partnership with the Scheduling Department to coordinate CAREGiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and extraordinary relationships
  • Monitor, mediate, and log CAREGiver activity (problem resolution, conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Evaluate and update all orientation and training materials as needed
  • Plan and successfully execute all CAREGiver meetings
  • Respond to DOL employment paperwork
  • Monitor compliance for local and federal labor and safety laws including EOE, ADA, FMLA and OSHA

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures


  • College degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
  • Experience with human resource work in CT extremely desirable
  • Experience with health field, caregiving, and senior population extremely desirable
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • 12 days of personal time off (PTO), to increase incrementally with years of service
  • 7 paid holidays

  • Office hours 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
