Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize and control assigned manufacturing operations in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.
  • Maintains total awareness of plant policies, regulations, procedures, and processes, and ensures proper adherence to them with respect to all electronic assembly operations.
  • Responsible, either directly or through subordinates, to ensure all documentation related to orders or product in the production area is complete and accurate and is with the order at as required in operating procedures.
  • Responsible for the continuous production of quality products that meet Windsor and/or the customer's quality standards and specifications.
  • Develops, trains, and motivates hourly employees directly and through subordinates to acquire maximum efficiency, productivity, cooperation and morale.
  • Maintains close surveillance over assembly operations to ensure scheduled work and material flow; proper use of personnel, skills, equipment and proper application of methods, and related matters.
  • Reviews daily production schedule and prioritizes work assignments considering ship dates and commitments to customers.
  • Provides instructions, guidance, and directions to assist lead personnel and/or production personnel who are having assembly difficulties and procedural problems.
  • Coordinates and participates in general administrative and technical programs such as cost reduction, methods, communications, safety and housekeeping and employee training.
  • Interacts with staff support groups to expedite any changes in departmental operations and works with other personnel to meet production schedules and assist in meeting cost reduction and quality improvement objectives.
  • Anticipates production problems such as potential delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, and devises and implements procedures to prevent or minimize loss of manufacturing hours and schedule interruptions.
  • Ensures proper disposition of rework and scrap through repair of such items or documentation of material that is scrapped.
  • Ensures all employees equipment, materials and areas of responsible conform to all appropriate health and safety regulations.
  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments with respect to build issues and on time delivery concerns.

  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, continuous flow, kanban, visual controls)
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Supports OT requirements as needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manor with Customers and Suppliers on a daily basis
  • Computer literate

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

  • Must be able to walk, sit and/or stand throughout an eight or ten-hour day.
