In SYRACUSE, NY: Our client - fairly reputable, strong long firm presence with over 250 lawyers nationwide - is searching for a Business Immigration Paralegal to work in their Syracuse offices on a long-term project / consulting basis (with potential for eventual permanent hire). Role includes assisting attorneys to prepare immigrant and non-immigrant petitions (e.g., H-1B, TN, L-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, etc.); drafting, proofreading, editing, and fact-checking non-immigrant and immigrant forms and support letters, and more. Note the role will require in office presence, at least three (3) days week, and client is looking for someone to start immediately. - Draft Legal Documents experience required
- Deep understanding of Draft Documents
- Visa Petitions experience
- Employment-Based Immigration experience
- Accurate, attentive, and experience handling sensitive or confidential information
- Capable of taking ownership of projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
- Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
- Should possess a thorough knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets
