As the Controller, you will be the go-to person for continuing to create and fortify our various internal policies, procedures and control environment. This person will also help build, update, centralize and maintain all of the relevant financial and accounting policies and will implement and integrate tools that will be utilized by the Finance and Accounting teams and all other departments/verticals. This position may be done remotely.


  • Preparation of daily accounting transactions
  • A complete market value analysis of investments and prepare pricing in the personal finance system
  • Complete monthly and quarterly investment reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Assist treasury function as needed. This would include daily investment reconciliations, banking relations, initiating wires, processing contributions and distributions.
  • Ensure all investment and commissions transactions are in accordance with applicable authority, policies, procedures and recorded consistently
  • For any limited liability corporation with outside investors, perform investor relations function and maintain accurate equity accounts
  • For investment funds, prepare and maintain timely and accurate net asset values, yields, distributions, capital statements, and all tax-related requests
  • Perform intercompany investment reconciliations
  • Maintain and ensure on-demand reports are working and reflect accurate information
  • Evaluate internal controls and business processes to identify process improve
  • Able to complete investment and commissions reconciliations
  • Research complex issues and suggest resolutions
  • Examine a variety of legal documents to verify accuracy of computations
  • Communicate effectively and timely via email, phone, and meetings
  • Assist with special projects as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required within the team


  • Bachelors degree and/or Masters degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • 5 years of mortgage business experience
  • Experience in fund accounting or partnership accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel and quick to pick up new technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to research and problem solve
