RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Benefits Specialist in Newton, MA. This is a temporary assignment for approximately 4 months to cover a maternity leave of absence. Due to the nature of the position, this person is required to be onsite at the corporate Newton office 2 days per week. Summary: The person in this role provides day to day administrative and customer focused support to the overall benefits function. Primary goals are to help ensure accurate, efficient and compliance administration of our benefits programs while providing customer focused resolution of a variety of employee and vendor related questions and issues. The person in this role provides proactive outreach and guidance to community HR and benefits partners to ensure they have the information and tools necessary to respond to employee benefit questions, while also working as a responsive and collaborative partner to address questions and issues as they arise. The person in this role is an integral part of our benefits team that is focused on providing a positive benefits experience for all our employees. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the benefits service queue and provide timely, customer-oriented responses to the company's internal HR partners and team members to address a wide variety of benefits related questions including but not limited to plan design, eligibility, and claims-related issues
  • Research and investigate issues and provide recommendations on solutions, while appropriately escalating more complex or unresolved benefits issues to the Senior Benefits Manager to ensure resolution
  • Collaborate with benefits and payroll teams, and outside vendors, to solve open questions and tasks
  • Ensure the timely processing of invoices for payment
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of life insurance and disability claims
  • Provide notifications to terminating team members of their benefit policy conversion rights


Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience with employee benefit administration, support and service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a variety of internal customers
  • Expert attention to detail
